What sort of fundraising would I be required to do?
Local groups organise to run a Bunnings BBQ which is a great source of funds to ensure any meeting expenses are met for 12 months, as well as some volunteer training.
We are always in need of people identifying grants we can apply for and helping with the applications - experience and skills in this area is a must for anyone interested.
We are working on a number of different projects and programs that will need some legwork to work, again, they may need specific skills and experience.
What will I have to commit to?
We never ask anyone to do more than they can without disrupting their lifestyle, so you will need to have a good idea about how much time you have available, e.g. 3 hours every Tuesday afternoon.
The main commitment we need is for you to keep in touch with your supervisor and respond to emails etc. in a timely manner so we know what is happening, and that you tell us if you are unable to complete a task.
There is no problem if volunteers can no longer work for us - we just need to know.
Can I make suggestions for fundraising?
Absolutely, all we ask is that you appreciate that we have limited resources and capacity and may need you to drive the project for it to be successful.
